Printed to natural, soft textured, 315gsm, 100% cotton, acid free paper.
Mounted and backed with a black mount with a solid black core to suit a standard 24 x 18 inch frame (frame not included)
Signed, dated and numbered.
I was inspired to create a David Bowie Blackstar tribute portrait using a small star shaped ink stamp. Every mark on the paper is made with this ink stamp to create this David Bowie art.
There are concealed David Bowie lyrics (from Starman and Space Oddity) and a reference to Duncan Jones, David Bowie’s son within the artwork. See if you can find them.
(The original artwork is 93.5 x 144 cm and this limited edition print run is available at a reduced size from the original, and is the largest mounted print I have sold.
Getting the original artwork high resolution scanned was a challenge because of it’s size. I found a company in Birmingham that could do this with a scan of 89.4MB. This was used to produce the print run).
